Otakaari 2A is the new multi-purpose building with spaces for events and educational purposes. It is located at the corner of the University Square and Otakaari and will be used entirely by Aalto University when completed. The premises of the building are designed to be very flexible and versatile, they are equipped with new digital technologies. The aim of the new building is to act as space for Aalto’s research and teaching; both, in Finland and internationally. In addition to the facilities serving to Aalto’s users, the building will have spaces for restaurants and event services operators. The architecture of the building emphasizes cooperation between art, technology and economy.
The three-storey building (Otakaari 2B), located at the corner of Konemiehentie and Ainonaukio, has been designed for teaching, research and offices used by the School of Science and the School of Electrical Engineering.
